About John¶

John Hagen is a science fiction/fantasy author who writes emotionally gripping stories set in exciting new environments. He's published several short stories in the Grab Bag Anthology series by Dragon Street Press.

He is part of the Leadership Team for the Cincinnati Fiction Writers, a critique group that meets weekly in the Cincinnati area to support and encourage writers of all genres. Our goal is to help every writer meet their writing goals, whether that's finishing a novel, publishing a short story, or just writing for fun.

As a software developer, John has a passion for open source software and maintains and contributes to dozens of projects used by thousands of developers worldwide.

When he's not dreaming up new characters and situations to put them in, he enjoys playing bass guitar, swimming, and biking with his wife and two children.
